This one day course is designed for Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Port Health Officers, Technical Managers and Food businesses. The course is aimed at understanding information and gaining knowledge on what halal food is, and how it is obtained, identified, produced, labelled, regulated, authenticated, and certified to meet the growing public, institutional and international demand throughout the world.
This course will equip you with skills, knowledge and confidence to carry out inspections, audits and deal with complex situations.
The training would be provided by Mr Nizar Boga who is a former Chief Environmental
Health and Consumer Services Officer in the London Boroughs. Mr. Boga is a highly
knowledgeable and experienced in Halal Food Safety and Regulations. He has worked for
the Government Ombudsman and also on the EU Diarel Project on religious Halal slaughtering.
He is also a qualified Lawyer and has been a magistrate in London for 14 years.
He is the CEO of his own Consultancy and Certification body which provides training, certification
and consultancy services for the halal food industry.
